Account Ownership

Account Owner

The person who creates a Measure account is the account owner. The owner has full control over the account, including billing, data, and access.

Data Ownership

You own your data. The analytics data collected by Measure on behalf of your websites belongs to you. We act as a data processor; you are the data controller. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the Service.

Transferring Ownership

Account ownership can be transferred to another person or organization. To initiate a transfer:

  • Contact us at support@measure.events from the current owner's email address
  • Provide the email address of the new owner
  • We will confirm the transfer with both parties before proceeding

Ownership transfers are permanent. The previous owner will lose access to the account unless the new owner invites them back.

Business Accounts

If you are using Measure on behalf of a business, the business entity is the account owner. If the individual who created the account leaves the organization, we can transfer ownership to another authorized representative. Contact us with appropriate documentation to arrange this.

Cancellation and Data Deletion

Only the account owner can cancel a Measure subscription and request data deletion. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. During this period you may reactivate your account and retain your data. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Death or Incapacity

If an account owner becomes deceased or incapacitated, we will work with authorized representatives (estate executors, power of attorney holders) to either transfer or close the account. Contact us at support@measure.events with documentation.
